Necromunda: Our 5 Favorite ‘Weird-Yet-Cool’ Miniatures

3 Minute Read
May 17 2022

Necromunda has some truly weird miniatures. These are a few of our favorites from the range.

We’ve been blown away by the miniatures in the Ash Wastes boxed set. That excitement got us thinking about the rest of the Necromunda range and how they have some truly weird-yet-cool miniatures. So we decided to list a few of our favorites. Here they are in no particular order.

Necromunda – ‘Weird-Yet-Cool’ Miniatures

Escher Death-maidens

What happens when you do a *tad* too many stems in the underhive? Well you might just end up as a Death-maiden. This model (and the other Death-maiden) are just plain freaky and cool. We don’t know how they got the feathers and branches in her hair. Or why her stilettos have even more spikes. Whatever the reason she’s basically an anti-drug PSA for the Gangers of Necromunda.

Piscean Spektor

The House Delaque special Brute is just something else. This bizarre miniature reminds us of the “squiddy” machines from the Matrix combined with living brain-thing. It’s weird and cool and we want more.

Luther Pattern Excavation Automata “Ambot”

The Ambot models are really neat. We love how blocky and robotic they are. We also really like the fact that they are modeled after the classic Ambull. It’s a fun callback for sure. Why did the folks on Necromunda decide to build an excavation automata based on the Ambull? We may never know! But we like the results even if they might be a little impractical.

Ash Waste Nomads Dustback Helamites

We can’t NOT include the new Dustback Helamites in this list. They are giant bugs being ridden by the new Ash Waste Nomads! Where did these bugs come from? Why/How did the Nomads domesticate them? Is there some sort of Helamite Queen?!!? We’ve got questions and these strange new bug-riders are just the tip of the spear.

Delague Gangers

Just all of them. We don’t really have much else to say about the Delaque Gang miniatures. We find them weird and cool. We all know they are a weird cross between the Spacing Guild from Dune and the creepy dudes from Dark City, right? Yeah. So odd and creepy. But we can’t help but like them.

Bonus: All The Forge World Miniatures

Seriously, take your pick. There’s so many to choose from.

Van Saar Arachni-rig

Slopper and Scabber

Escher Khimerix

Cawdor Stig-shambler

Mercator Sanguis Slaver Entourage

Ortruum 8-8, Psi-hound Bounty Hunter

Goliath Sumpkroc

Goliath ‘Zerker

Some of them are more weird-than-cool. But you get the idea.
