Spongebob Squarepants was probably the most unusual, unfathomable show from my later childhood years. I could not for the LIFE of my understand why such a silly premise had gained such popularity in the culture of my time, but here we are. To this day, Spongebob is a show enjoyed all over the world, and this week we’re continuing our Pride celebration with these adorable Spongebob cosplays!

It doesn’t matter if you watch cartoons, have kiddos, or are interested in pop-culture- the odds are you have at least heard of Spongebob Squarepants. The Dopey yellow sponge full of hijinks has permeated culture EVERYWHERE, so it’s no surprise to see him as a cosplay! We’re featuring Spongebob this week as a representative of the Asexuality community, as confirmed by Nickelodeon to celebrate Pride.
That’s right, folks! Spongebob is Ace, and we’re happy to showcase some charming cosplays to celebrate. It’s important to note that not all folks are attracted to bodies in a sexual way. Some folks are more attracted to minds, and some people choose to appreciate beauty without engaging it in a sexual manner. We’re here to appreciate all people of all orientations, today’s cosplay feature is a tribute to the Aces of the world!

Spongebob Cosplays are Aces
We’ve chosen a few different styles of cosplay today. While one is a very close to screen adaptation of Spongebob, we’ve also featured some creative adaptations as well. We have an adorable anime style Spongebob, as well as what he would look like as a human. Regardless of how you cosplay, we hope you have a happy Pride Month, and that you enjoy these Spongebob cosplays!

She has set National Records through USA Archery’s Traditional Division for Asiatic Bows and earned 4th Place in the World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan in 2018 for Women’s Korean Archery. Jennifer is currently studying for her Masters's Degree in Organizational Leadership.
