There are quite a few Star Wars shows coming out the in the near future, and it seems like all of them have had some sort of news this week.

There are quite a few Star Wars shows on the horizon. Starting with next month’s Andor and stretching out into the foreseeable future, there will be quite a few trips to the galaxy far far away for us. And it seems like all of them have had some sort of news come out this week.

Andor

With just over a month until Andor hits Disney+, I can’t imagine we’ll be seeing much more in the way of news, leaks, or trailers. We’re hyped, we’re ready, and we hope that Diego Luna finally gets to touch Jabba the Hutt. He deserves it. But we did get one interesting Cassian-related gift. It seems that Rogue One will be returning to some IMAX theaters ahead of Andor‘s premier. Rogue One may be the single best Star Wars movie of the modern galactic era, and I can say from experience that it is very cool on the ultra-big IMAX screen. So if you missed that opportunity last time and agree that this was a pretty great movie, now’s your chance!

The Mandalorian

It’s no shock that the third and fourth seasons of The Mandalorian are on their way. But it may be a little surprising to hear how soon we may have a season four on our TV screens. Din Djarin and Grogu are expected to return for season three in February of next year. But filming on season four could be rolling as soon as next month. With Mandalorian S3, Ahsoka, The Acolyte, and Skeleton Crew all slated for 2023, it would be hard to imagine two seasons of The Mandalorian getting 2023 releases. But Disney also may just know where their bread is buttered. And it’s wherever and whenever Baby Yoda makes an appearance.

The Acolyte

We don’t know a ton about this project, but the lead, Amandla Stenberg, also hasn’t exactly been silent about their involvement or excitement for the project. Stenberg, whose casting in The Acolyte wasn’t announced officially until this summer at San Diego Comic-Con, is apparently “astounded” with the project.

“The Lucasfilm team came to me with this project which was fully conceptualized with me in mind, and I was astounded.”

They’ve begun martial arts training to prepare for filming, which will happen this autumn in the U.K. Hopefully more information will be released about The Acolyte next month at D23 Expo.

Ahsoka

Rosario Dawson was asked about her upcoming series, Ahsoka, at C2E2 and had some interesting commentary to say the least. When asked about the location or inclusion of Grand Admiral Thrawn in the series Dawson said,

“That dude, man…incognito. Maybe we get the Scarlet Witch to help us, she can jump through multiverses, right? Let’s go, girl! Yeah, I mean, that’s a really big key kind of giveaway in [The Mandalorian] about what my show could potentially be about. Obviously, we are really trying to track [Thrawn] down, so we’ll see what happens…”

Her answer is purposefully vague and cryptic, but we’re left with a ton of questions. What does the multiverse have to do with all of this? Did the space whales send Ezra and Thrawn to another universe? Is there at least art there?!

Which Star Wars show are you most looking forward to? Will you be watching Rogue One when it returns to IMAX? When do you think we’ll get the fourth season of The Mandalorian? Let us know in the comments!

May The Force Be With You, Adventurers!
