This cosplay is a shiny beacon of Old Detriot. We’re living for this RoboCop cosplay made from EVA foam!

It takes massive talent to build armor from nothing but foam. It also takes massive talent to fight crime! This week’s cosplay feature accomplishes both. We’re checking out the work of Heroes Workshop, a cosplayer whose expertise with armor builds in EVA foam has some stellar results.

RoboCop is a cult classic from the 1980s. The ’80s was a decade full of guns and glory, and robotic action flicks galore. It brought us the Terminator films, Alien, Chopping Mall, and today’s feature: RoboCop.

The cyborg cop with a chip on his shoulder is a hell of a protagonist, and the RoboCop films are a go-to feel-good for my partner. A couple of times a year I come home to guns blazing and explosions worthy of Michael Bay. RoboCop had a really iconic appearance, and it’s represented in today’s cosplay by Heroe’s Workshop. Check out this tutorial below; you can see in these cosplay images that the work is incredible. The foam looks like it’s really metal, which is an amazing feat! Check it out!
