The Arks of Omen Tarot Card Teasers are back and this one plants a seed of hope. But you know what they say about hope in 40k.

Games Workshop has an update from the Arks of Omen Tarot Cards and today we’re getting a tease about the Tree of Life. Could there be a spark of hope in the future or is this just more kindling for the fires of war in the Grimdark Galaxy?

Let’s take a closer look at the dialogue from this one because it sure seems like there’s some good news today.

But hope blooms

And burning stars

Coming off the heels of The Fool card (Inversed) this is clearly a message of hope. Previously there was a mention of a change in spirit from fury to serenity. And now we’ve got a message that hope is blooming. So maybe, just maybe the Grimdark has a shot to come out of the Arks of Omen event without utter destruction. If this is a prophecy within the lore then this is the “way out” for some semblance of victory for the non-chaos folks.

Obviously GW isn’t planning on completely ending 40k at the end of the Arks of Omen either — This might be some sort of new beginning and with the rumors of 10th edition swirling around that’s highly likely. However, let’s take a closer look at the card itself because there’s a few other things to note:

The Young Warrior has returned in this image and also has that same sword. Now, if this warrior is the reincarnation of the Emperor or someone else (like T’au Commander Farsight) it’s seems like they have found a moment of respite here. Again, alluding back to The Fool Card teaser, perhaps that turn from “Rage to Serenity” could involve the Dawn Blade in some way. We know that it can transfer the lifeforce from the victims to the wielder but what other powers does this blade have? And do you really want it that close to the “Tree of Life” if that’s the case?

Clearly, GW is teasing something big is going to happen. What will that change be and what does it all mean? We’ll have to wait and find out!

As always you can hop over to the Arks of Omen website and check out the rest of the teasers. If you’ve got any ideas we’d love to read them in the comments so let us know what you think it could all mean!
