Age of Sigmar: Trugg’s Great Troggherd Pricing Breakdown

Games Workshop has a new army box coming for the Dawnbringers with Trugg’s Great Troggherd. So what sort of deal are we looking at?

Trugg the Troggking is looking like an interesting pick for Gloomspite Gitz armies out there. The first place you’ll be able to snag his new model is in the Trugg’s Great Troggherd box. The good news is we also know the price point for this set. So let’s check to see if this one is going to be worth picking up for current and future Gloomspite Gitz players.

Trugg’s Great Troggherd Pricing Breakdown

6x Rockgut Troggoths = $120

Trugg The Troggking = ???

Total Individual MSRP = $120 + ???

Total Savings = $30 + ???

“Wait a minute, what’s with all the question marks? I thought this was a pricing breakdown!” It is but we don’t know the price of Trugg by himself as this is currently the only way to get him. That said the box is going to be priced at $90 and we already know that Rockgut Troggoths are $60 for 3. So already you’re saving $30 just on Rockgut Troggoths.

We also know that Trugg is going to be on a 100mm base thanks to his rules preview:

Does that mean we can use that to approximate the price of Trugg by himself? Well, with the new models, a close kit would be the Mangler Squigs which come in at $90. However, that model is on an 80mm base. So is it fair to say that these are comparable? Another kit comparison could be the Dankhold Troggoth which comes in at $75 on a 60mm base.

The price of models doesn’t always correlate to the base size but I think that Trugg is going to cost at least as much as the the Dankhold Troggoth. So, even if we lowball the price at $75 for Trugg, you’re still saving close to $105 on this Dawnbringers boxed set.

I don’t know if there was mix up in the pricing or what but it seems like Trugg’s Great Troggherd might be a steal of a deal. Again, even if you DON’T need or want Trugg, you’re still getting two sets of Rockgut Troggs for $30 off. If you’ve been holding off on starting a Gloomspite Gitz Trogg army now might be the right time to strike.
