Marvel and LucasFilm dropped a ton of new trailers at D23. Including the one we’ve been waiting on since 2019: Secret Invasion.

Star Wars wasn’t the only Disney franchise to show off new stuff. Marvel started their presentation with a live performance of Rogers: The Musical and dove right into announcements. Including a brand-spankin’ new Secret Invasion trailer.

The Rest of the Pack

Marvel also showed off new footage that seems to be all D23 only for the moment, so we get blurbs. A chunky paragraph of those:

Loki Season 2 footage showed Loki working at the TVA and being dragged through the multiverse – also Ke Huy Quan is joining the cast. Ironheart will “explore the connection between magic and tech.” The cast of Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania stopped in to talk about the movie; it will tie directly into the Kang saga. Captain America 4 cast made its first group appearance – Isaiah Bradley is back and Danny Ramirez returns as the new Falcon. Fantastic 4 will hit theaters on November 8, 2024. They showed off the same poster again. Don Cheadle let us know that Armor Wars starts filming next year. Charlie Cox and Vincent Donofrio officially introduced Daredevil: Born Again.

Your Thunderbolts do not currently involve Zemo. *sad face* But I’m hoping he and his dancing skills are waiting in the wings

And we finally got a look at Werewolf by Night, which comes out next month. Yep, that’s Manthing.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler and the cast released new footage from the highly anticipated movie. It wasn’t released for the folks at home, so here’s a description from someone in the room:

Ramonda arrives at a UN meeting about Wakanda not sharing info on Vibranium. France is worried it’s creating weapons of mass destruction. Ramonda says it’s their policy not to divulge any secrets. This is not because of the dangerous potential of Vibranium but because “of the dangerous potential of you.” She is referred to as “her majesty” … she says “the king is dead. The Black Panther is gone. We have lost their protector.”

But then out comes the Dora Milaje to protect the scientists from getting attacked, because white mercenaries are trying to steal Vibranium. Then the Wakandans haul the mercenaries in front of everyone to show they still have force. Shows not-Atlantis… and someone (Namor?) says “you’ve exposed us to the world” and we get several shots of their world and fighting.
