‘The Witcher’ Season 2 Trailer – The End of Days is Near and War is Upon Us
The second season of The Witcher is going to have higher stakes and take us across the Continent.
The trailer and teasers we’ve gotten so far have focused on Geralt and Ciri’s training at Kaer Morhen. The latest pulls back to show what’s going on in the world around them. A war is on and the forces needed to win the battle come from all over the land – including a very special bard.
The fights in the first season were only a preview of what is to come. This new season looks huge in comparison. A war between empires is brewing, as is a massive fight between sorceresses and sorcerers. All while Ciri and Geralt take down some nasty look monsters. I can’t wait.
The show’s story is moving through Blood of Elves and into Time of Contempt this season. Expect the stories of Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri to start weaving together and for them to find common enemies; and the Lion Cub of Cintra is going to discover many things about her linage and her monster-killing powers.
The official synopsis…
Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.
The season’s cast sees the return of Henry Cavill as Geralt, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, and Freya Allan as Ciri, Joey Batey as traveling bard Jaskier.
The Witcher season two arrives on Netflix on December 17th.
