Age of Sigmar: 5 Seraphon Models We Hope Get An Update In Plastic
The Seraphon are getting a new Battletome in the summer along with an update to their model range. Here’s a few we hope made the jump!
It wasn’t that long ago since we got a new Lord Kroak model along with a few updates for the Seraphon. But now, GW has announced a new Battletome as well as a whole lot more models getting new releases for them.
The stuff they showed off “wasn’t even half of them” which is exciting to hear. Here’s a few models/units we sure hope get a plastic update soon.
Salamanders/Razordon
These two kits need some love. They were a pretty popular option for a bit thanks to the sheer volume of attacks as well. It would be nice to see them get a dual plastic kit so these units could make a proper appearance once again.
Kroxigor
GW might have teased a few Rumor Engines hinting at their replacement but I’m not counting my lizards before that hatch. I sure hope the Kroxigors get a plastic update because I think GW will do an amazing job making these more dynamic and impressive in plastic.
Saurus/Temple Guard
Clint already talked this unit up. And I gotta say that I agree with him on this one. We’re getting new Saurus Warriors (which is awesome) and it would be even cooler if they got the more armored and punchier versions in plastic, too. Plus, have you seen the Blood Bowl Lizardmen Team? Those Saurus sculpts are great! More of that, please. For an example of a “more armored” version see below!
New Saurus Oldblood / Unique Character
I know we’re getting that new Astrolith Bearer. But I really think the Lizardmen need another new Saurus Oldblood that’s a dual kit for a “generic” leader and also one that’s a special character. maybe it could even be built as the Saurus Eternity Warden, too? Just give us a multi-part plastic Saurus Character kit is what I’m sayin!
Saurus Knights
While this kit is totally serviceable I still think it would be nice if it got an refresh. The Cold Ones do look a lot better than their previous incarnation but the warriors felt a bit stunted. I mean, compare them with the upcoming Skink Cav units and image what GW could do with Saurus Riders…
Bonus: New Skinks
Again, functionally, this kit is probably fine. However, there’s been a TON of awesome new Skink models released for the various smaller scale Age of Sigmar Games. We’ve seen new plastic Chameleon Skinks, too.
All of those models — give us new plastic kits for all of them please. The technology has come a long way and it’s worth updating those basic troops because they will always be needed.
