There’s so many interesting mutants that showed up in the X-Men shows. Here’s a few more we want in Marvel: Crisis Protocol.

We touched on a few powerhouses we’d love to see as well as street-level threats in MCP. And we’ve already dabbled with some classic X-Men as well. Now we’re adding to our list with a new batch of characters we’d love to get on the tabletop.

Dazzler

How many other Mutants can claim to be pop stars AND a Superhero? Dazzler’s animated arrival was in the 1989 animated movie Pryde of the X-Men. The movie was supposed to be a sort of pilot for the X-Men Animated Series. I don’t know all the exact details but things didn’t quite pan out. The team was relaunched without Dazzler in the TV show. However, I will never forget this light-bomb tossing mutant. Especially because of a certain arcade game

Shard

Shard has a couple cameos in the X-Men Animated Series. She’s the sister of Bishop and unfortunately she had a rough go the first few times Bishop has to make a quick timeslip getaway to the past. Her mutant power is the ability to absorb ambient light and convert that into energy blasts. She doesn’t get enough screen time and I think it would be cool to see her get a chance to shine on the tabletop!

Black Tom Cassidy

As a kid watching the X-Men show, I never really knew what this guy could do. He had a weird stick and could fire purple energy from it. Now I know he’s also a mutant and relative of Banshee. In the show he was also an associate of Juggernaut and was hired to try and kidnap Lilandra the Shi’ar Empress. In the comics he can manipulate energy via plants and plant life. That’s why he had the shillelagh in the show. He could be a fun addition to Marvel: Crisis Protocol for sure!

Sauron

Is Sauron a mutant? I think so because he’s called a mutate in the Savage Land. He’s got a strange history but really I just like the idea of a Pterodactyl-Man added to the game. In the show he could do some weird hypnotic thing to people and animals and that made him a threat. He also had an energy absorption power, too. In the comics he also has a sonic scream and fire breath but I don’t recall if those were used in the animated show. Either way, bring on the green flying Pterodactyl guy!

Polaris

Polaris shows up in Season 3, Episode 15 – Cold Comfort of the X-Men show. It’s the episode with Bobby Drake and X-Factor showing up. Her powers include Magnetism Sense and Control. So, she’s like Magneto but with green hair. In the comics she’s a prominent member of X-Factor and crosses paths with the X-Men quite a bit even joining the team from time-to-time.

Personally, I’m hoping Atomic Mass Games eventually creates an entire X-Factor Affiliation. And if they do Polaris needs to bet at the top of that list!
