Games Workshop Advent Engine Day 9 – ‘Aeldari Artillery’
This one is hard to mistake. It’s Advent Engine Day 9 and we’ve got some Aeldari Artillery in bound.
Many times the teasers from Games Workshop are pretty subtle. And then every now and then the Rumor Engines (or in this case Advent Engines) paint a pretty clear picture. We’re not complaining. Take a look at this one and get excited for the Aeldari.
“There’s a darkness about the Advent Engine today. We shall have to sacrifice a few more apostles to ensure that our beautiful machine keeps operating. As the screams die down, another picture appears.”
So…yeah. That’s pretty identifiable as an Aeldari Missile Launcher. It’s almost identical to the one you’d see on something like a War Walker:
In fact, it’s basically the same bit, only it appears to be inverted. Here’s a better look at bit on the sprue
It’s got the same cone-shape as well as the curved-hooked part. It does not have a knob for the sight however. If that is a sight…regardless, This one is pretty blatantly obvious. The next question is “so who does this belong to?”
We’ve gotten several of these new Advent Engines pointing to new Aeldari so now the question is what units are we getting and could this be a vehicle refresher? Which vehicles or units are planned? Could this be Craftworld Aeldari or perhaps Harlequins or even Drukhari by way of Ynnari? The Aeldari race in 40k now has a bit of a trifecta of armies to combine into Ynnari and that army in particular has been sitting on the back-burner.
Games Workshop clearly has something planned for the Aeldari at this point. And if you’re a fan of any of their armies you should be getting excited for the new stuff heading your way.
