Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett is coming up fast. See what its two lead stars have to say about the new series.

In the most recent issue of Total Film, Temuera Morrison (Boba Fett) and Ming-Na Wen (Fennec Shand) spoke about the upcoming series. Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett focuses on the pair’s mission to take over Jabba the Hutt’s territory on Tatooine.

The premise alone brings in a lot of different and interesting characters from the underworld of the galaxy. As well as some dangerous-looking fire-fights.

The two characters have an unconventional alliance. During the last season of The Mandalorian, Fennec recalled that she was rescued from certain death by Boba. Based on Wen’s comments, we’ll get to learn more about what happened. How does it tie the two together in this grand venture?

“The relationship between him and Fennec is a unique one amongst bounty hunters. Because a lot of times, we’re all very solo workers. We don’t like collaboration. We don’t trust anyone.”

It’s a very dysfunctional family, but it’s a family that honors a code of ethics, and there’s a certain set of rules that you have to follow and that’s the only way that it would work. And being bounty hunters, that’s very important. And I think that’s why Fennec and Boba, they’re from the old school. We believe in those code of ethics and we respect each other for it.”

What About Mando?

The Book of Boba Fett has solid ties to The Mandalorian. Remember, the two characters teamed up to hunt down Moff Gideon. When asked if Pedro Pascal’s Din Djarin will appear in the new series, Morrison didn’t say no.

“I can’t say anything, but we have some wonderful, colorful things to look forward to. I don’t want to say too much about it because we’re all going to go on this journey together. And every little bit of information is pretty precious now.”

So that’s a maybe? In all seriousness, I’m really looking forward to watching Fennec and Boba kick crime syndicate butt and take what’s theirs. Both characters, and the actors behind them, are fantastic. And what we’ve seen of the show looks like it’s going to have a lot of action and a compelling story.

“The Book of Boba Fett,” a thrilling Star Wars adventure teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian,” finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.”

The series stars Temuera Morrison at Fett and Ming-Na Wen as Shand. The team behind The Mandalorian is reuniting on the show. This includes Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, and Robert Rodriguez. Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson are the executive producers.

The Book of Boba Fett premieres on Disney+ on December 29th.
