Final Fantasy VI (also known as Final Fantasy III if you’re a fellow heathen from the USA), is one of the most revered games in the Final Fantasy franchise. It is a haunting story of man versus magic, the search for power versus the desperate desire to love and live. This week, we are swooning over these Terra and Kefka Cosplays.

In the 1994 game, released to the Super Nintendo, Terra is a mysterious woman with a connection to magic that is even more elusive in its origins. The game’s story follows her journey of self discovery, gaining allies as she tries desperately to discover who she is and where she fits into the world. In her way is Kefka, the evil sorcerer bent on a path of world destruction.

At every turn in the game, Kefka’s evil machinations reveal themselves, full of overblown drama and the creepiest in-game laugh to ever come out of Square Enix. Seriously, it’s terrifying:
If that laugh doesn’t give you nightmares, I don’t know what will. Also, they were so popular that they take to the screen again in the Dissidia game, a fighting game with elements of RPG that brings new life to these characters. And naturally, Kefka just wants to DANCE.
