Dark Angels

Warhammer 40,000 Dark Angels Game News, Reviews, Editorials & Unboxings.

The Dark Angels are a faction from UK-Based Games Workshop's Tabletop Wargame Warhammer 40,000. The Dark Angels were the first Legion of the twenty original Space Marine Legions. Their Primarch is Lion El'Jonson. After remaining loyal to the Emperor during the Horus Heresy, the Dark Angels was later re-organized and divided into several Chapters during the Second Founding. One of these chapters would keep the original legion's name and assets, though all of the Dark Angels descendants continue to work together to hunt The Fallen as the Unforgiven.

During the Horus Heresy, a portion of the Dark Angels chapter fell to Chaos, and claimed the Chapter's homeworld Caliban. Lion El'Jonson defeated the rebellion, but the Fallen members of the rebellion were scattered across space and time by the Ruinous powers, which also shattered Caliban forver. This rebellion is unknown to any outside the Dark Angels, and the chapter's greatest secret.

The Chapter now scours the galaxy for members of The Fallen in absolute secrecy to absolve them of their eternal shame. Their flagship, dubbed "The Rock" is a monumental craft created out of the surviving core of Caliban.

The Dark Angels are known for their secretive nature often appearing and departing warzones mysteriously. They have an unusual chapter organization. Their First Company is called the Deathwing, which often fights in white Terminator armour. The Second Company is known as the the Ravenwing, which is a formation consisting entirely of fast and highly mobile units such as bike and Land Speeder squadrons in all black livery.
